myRotacol Ingame Pages (mIP): GENERAL INFO

myR Ingame Pages (mIP) are specifically designed to be viewed with JGRotPro (JGRP) ingame JG, using the console/browser window.

When creating your own internet pages for the JGRP ingame browser, please consider the hints listed below. Although webpages are interpreted the same way a "common webbrowser" would do, several features make no sense. There is only a "snapshot" of a webpage shown ingame, thus missing most of the interactivity known from regular sites.

Do not use animated graphics.
Do not use any sort of (interactive) script. Of course, PHP and alike will work, as page code is built on server-side before being sent.
Do not implement links. They will not work. No clicky-clicky ingame, eh !? (*)
Don't design your page layout with static dimensions. Scrolling will be easier if you got automaic word-wrap etc.
Keep page code small. E.g., no title needed in <head> tag. It will not be shown anyway.

(*) Note: There is a dynamic link feature under construction. Once implemented, links shown on a page will be transfered to a "JGRP dynamic link list". Not ready yet.
